I AM NEW TO ALL OF THIS WEBSITE STUFF, PLEASE HELP ME!

This page will guide you through our ordering process and give you an explanation of what you will need to start setting up your website. You might want to print this page and use it as a quick reference to set up your account with us.


1. First of all you will need a domain name. Our domain name is texashostconnect.com. Think of a name you want to use for your website and check it's availability here: http://www.texashostconnect.com/clients/domainchecker.php. If your domain name is not available you may want to try a different TLD other than .com as we have other great top level domains available such as .net, .org, .biz and many more, or try a different name altogether. If it is available, put a check mark on the square next to the name with the correct TLD and click "Order Now" at the bottom of the page. If you already own a domain name that you want to use with our services, skip this step and go directly to step 2.


2. Now you will need web hosting for your domain. Web hosting to your domain is like gasoline to your car. The more gasoline you have in your car, the more you will be able to drive it. This is exactly the same for your domain except the way your domain gets driven is by the people who visit your website. The bigger the hosting plan, the more visits to your website (per month) you can receive. The size of the files that make up a website also come in play in the disk space of the hosting plan. After you have completed step 1, choose a hosting plan here: http://www.texashostconnect.com/webhosting.php. Do not worry about leaving the page you were just on from step 1 as your domain name was added to your shopping cart during that step. Now choose the plan that best fits your needs and click on the yellow "Order" link at the bottom of the plan. If you completed step one, leave the default "Use a domain already in my shopping cart", make sure the domain name you want is in the drop down where it says "Choose Domain" and "Click to Continue". If you skipped step one due to you already owning a domain name, choose the appropriate circle (radio) button before you "Click to Continue".


3. On the next page, choose your billing cycle and any add-ons that you would like, then click "Update Cart". On the next page you can choose configurations for your domain. Some may already be applied if they are free of charge. Press "Update Cart". On the following page make sure your order is correct and if you are satisfied, press "Check Out". On the checkout page, fill out the required information or login if already registered, agree to the terms and conditions and press "Complete Order". You will be redirected to PayPal to complete your order as we use only PayPal to process our payments even if you are paying via credit card, thanks. Your account should be set up now with everything you need to start creating your website.
